Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress famous for Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. In the 80s the actress began her acting career, and was well-known for the character Tezaab which she played alongside an established actor Anil Kapooor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. She was born into a Mumbai middle-class family, and began dancing when she was a child. When she was in her early years when she first started to act as a child actress, most films she created did not succeed. She found fame and became one of India's top movie actresses. She decided to take a break from her career following her marriage before returning to the industry of entertainment. In the last few years, Dixit played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is India's fourth highest civil honor. Also, she has earned a name as a social activist.
